I got these blinds for some very high windows that take in a lot sunlight from late morning into early afternoon. I had originally bought curtains for the 2 high sidelights and that had helped a great deal, as there are windows below them as well but I still had the middle high window to worry about because it is directly over the fireplace so a long curtain or even a short curtain for that matter would not work. These blinds operate smoothly and quietly. The zebra stripes create a unique layered effect that allows for a range of light filtering options, from sheer to blackout. They look much nicer than expected and I love the zebra mode that lets filtered light in when needed. They have been great so far in both how the operate and how they look . I would for sure recommend them and purchase more in the future.
